A strong week at Whiteside Cove. The framing crew topped out and we started closing in the roof, so the house finally reads at full height against the ridge.

  • Progress: Roof sheathing on, ready for the dry-in membrane.
  • Building science: Confirmed the air-sealing sequence with the framer for a tight envelope.

Framing kept pace with the good weather this week and the main-level walls are all standing. You can walk the great room and feel the volume now.

Good crew day starting. Sheathed and taped the last gable end. The Whiteside face is catching the morning light off the back deck now.

Milestone

Roof is dried-in. Ice-and-water shield down at every eave and valley, synthetic underlayment over the field. The house is weather-tight ahead of the front coming through Thursday.
